As the BID programme concludes, the GBIF Secretariat is dedicated to facilitating opportunities to share best practices identified by BID project teams and partner.
The knowledge exchange webinar will:
- Provide a platform for BID project teams to showcase key achievements and impacts of their BID-funded projects.
- Facilitate the exchange of experiences, ideas, and connections among project teams in the region.
- Discuss key challenges and opportunities, sharing best practices.
- Support the visibility of the work performed under BID and reflect on alignment with multilateral agreements.
- Explore regional trends and priorities in capacity needs and biodiversity data mobilization and use
During this event, we will present the main results of the BID programme and further discuss the impact of BID on Data mobilization; Data use and capacity building; and Sustainability and scaling up during a set of panel discussions.
The panel discussion in each session will invite two representatives from each region (Latin America and the Caribbean & Africa) to share their reflections on the topics. The audience will also be invited to share their experiences and any questions
